This article seeks to reflect on the overlap of editorial doing about the scientific

doing. The idea is to list all the influences of editorial practice on science, and
discuss whether that relationship is detrimental at some level putting limits on what
scientists should or should not write.
Thinking about how fundamental the publications are for scientific practice,
publishers have come to occupy a key position in the development of science, so
reflecting on the relationship between the publishers and the scientists seems
fundamental to me.
