ADDENDUM
On June 28 Deputy Chief Geier called me in reference to complaint that I filed
pertaining to incidents at the Lombard DMV and the ILSOS Police Station on
Roosevelt Road, Villa Park. He stated that he would not be opening an
investigation into the actions of any of the involved officers. There was a officer
without a name tag on his uniform and when asked to identify he refused and
stated he did not have to. He was in uniform in his official capacity as an officer
on a public sidewalk and is required according to your policy to identify. Deputy
Chief Geier made a decision to give this officer a pass because his job
requirements allowed him not to identify. He further stated this unknown officer
was a member of a Task Force? Undercover? Geier further stated that
photography is not allowed outside the Lombard DMV or inside the ILSOS Station
Villa Park and is backed up by caselaw? He also stated the Unknown Officer
does not have to identify and is backed up by caselaw? Geier further stated a
new sign has been posted outside the Lombard DMV?Listed below is the case
that allows citizens to film everyone in public!
In theUnited States Court of Appeals For the Seventh Circuit
No. 11-1286
AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION OF ILLINOIS,
Plaintiff-Appellant,
v.
ANITA ALVAREZ,
Defendant-Appellee.
Appeal from the United States District Court
for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.
No. 10 C 5235—Suzanne B. Conlon, Judge.
ARGUED SEPTEMBER 13, 2011—DECIDED MAY 8, 2012

Deputy Chief Geier has some mistaken beliefs on what is allowed and what is not.
The ILSOS can't investigate themselves because they follow their own policy.
Officer John Doe never should have showed up on the spot in the first place. He
made a statement on camera that he was there to help me. You can get copies of
the videos that were provided to Geier. What is the status on the criminal actions
of Mr Frank from Lombard DMV. I guess he is trying to double down with a new
sign on the outside?
Many of your employees have been caught on camera saying it is illegal to film
outside the Lombard DMV and in the Lobby of the ILSOS Building in Villa Park.
By stating these actions are not allowed the Secretary of State is violating 1 st
Amendment Rights Directly and Indirectly. Lastly, Geier stated he did not care if I
was going to identify the undercover officer to the media. Maybe it is time to
move him into a regular officer role?
