Problem 1:

Following is a list of games that we consider competitors:

1. Word Crossy

2. Wordscapes

3. Words with Friends

4. Crosswords with Friends

5. Word toons

6. Word Cookies

7. Word Connect

8. NYTimes Crosswords.

We would like you to play these games, each for a few initial levels to gauge the quality of the game
and create a benchmarking 3x3 matrix for Fun vs Profitability. Please include the current PlaySimple
games on that matrix for comparison as well.

Problem 2:

Problem Background: An experiment to test different sources (ad network) of installs on one of our
games for both Android and iOS. The experiment had multiple sources with multiple creatives
running across multiple publishers. The aim of the experiment was to determine the best creative,
best publisher and overall best source. Find attached the relevant data from the experiment which
can be used to figure this out.

Question(s) to be answered:

1. Which is the best Campaign (ID each for Android & iOS) and why.

2. Which is the best performing creative and why?

3. Which is the most profitable Adgroup (Android & iOS separately) and why ?(assume the CPI to be
2)

Terms Used in Data:

Install date = Date on which the user installed the app

Campaign = Campaign name(ID)

Adgroup = Publisher ID

Creative = Creative name


Retained users = Number of users still playing our game after “days after installs”

Days after installs = The number of days passed after the install date

Sessions per user = Average sessions played per user on that “days after install”

Revenue Total = Total money made by the user from day0 till “days after install”

ROAS = Total revenue earned from all the users from a campaign/ Total amount spent on the
campaign to acquire users.

LT Days = Life time days (LT Days) is the no. of days the users will spend playing the game

Question 3:

ASO plays an important point in user acquisition as the user comes to the playstore/ app store page
before installing the app. Improving the store screen page helps increase the no. of installs the app
gets. Compare the following app store pages of the following games and write the important
features that make each store screen compelling,
