2) Data of coal source and coal quality
(1) Coal source: in order to satisfy the demands for electric energy of Riau
Islands, PLTU PLTU Riau 2x110MW Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant is
planned to be constructed by Indonesia National Power Company. Coal sources
in Indonesia will be adopted for the power building, transported by coal cargo
ship, after being unloaded at the coal dock and then transported to the coal yard
for storage.
(2) Coal quality: the analysis data for the coal quality of the design coal of this
Project is as follows:

1.2 Coal consumption of the power building
The design scope of coal handling system of this Project is: from after the
fixed crane ship unloaders of C01AB conveyers to raw coal bunker of raw coal
bunker, the whole coal handling system includes coal storage, sieving &
crushing, coal loading, Tramp Iron Magnet, metering, sampling, other
supporting facilities, etc.

After the coal transporting barges are docked by the side of the power
building, 2 sets of gate-type fixed crane ship unloaders will unload the coal to
C01AB conveyers on the bank and the conveyer will deliver the coal to the T1
transfer station of the power plant (coal distributors are equipped in the transfer
station). After the coal entering into the T1 transfer station, through switching,
the coal can be stored in staker&reclaimer coal yard or go into the bunker bay in
the main power building directly. The belt width of C01AB conveyer and C05
conveyer under the bucket wheel Bucket-wheelstaker-reclaimer is 1000mm,
their belt speed is 2m/s, capacity range is 550t/h and maximum capacity range is
600t/h. The belt width of other conveyers from the rear of the coal yard is
800mm, their belt speed is 1.6m/s and capacity range is 300t/h. All of them are
of double-line system, one line for operation and the other for standby.

among which, a large circular-arch dry coal shed is arranged near the T1
transfer station in the Bucket-wheel staker-reclaimer coal yard. The span of the
dry coal shed is 80m, length is 70m, and the stacking height is 9m . The storage
capacity of the coal yard is 23,428 tons , which can satisfy the coal utilization
demand of the 2x110MW unit in the power building for 7.65 days days (typical
coal) or 7 days(Minimum coal).

reclaiming is 300t/h. Microcomputer will be adopted to control the
Bucket-wheelstaker-reclaimer. Material stacking is automatical or manual and
material taking semi-automatical or manual. Meanwhile, in order to ensure the
standby use for failure maintenance and check of the
Bucket-wheelstaker-reclaimer, 2 ground hoppers shall be arranged in the coal
yard which can deliver the coal in the coal yard to the boiler raw coal bunker
through activating the coal feeder. Moreover, 2 sets of TY220-type coal
bulldozer, which are used for compacting and tidying the coal yard and assisting
bucket wheel in material piling and reclaiming which are also arranged in the
coal yard in this phase.
CFB boiler combustion system requires that the granularity of the coal
feeding to the boiler shall be ≤10mm. Therefore, sieving equipment and
crushing equipment are arranged respectively in the coal handling system. The
sieving equipment is double rotary sieve or high-amplitude vibrating sieve with
granularity of feeding material of ≤100mm, granularity of discharging material
of ≤10mm and capacity range of 350t/h. The crushing equipment is
hammer-type fine crusher with granularity of feeding material of ≤100mm,
granularity of discharging material of ≤10mm and capacity range of 200t/h. In
addition, the sieve is equipped with a bypass system, so when the coal crusher
fails to work, the coal can be delivered directly into the boiler raw coal bunker
by the bypass system without crushing.

bunker bay from the built-in end.
5.1.2 There are 3 sets of transfer station, a set of coal crusher room, six
routes of 10-belt type conveyers in this Project. Among the conveyers,
C01AB~C04AB and C06AB are of double-line system, one line for operation
and the other for standby and C05 are single-line system. In order to coordinate
with the unload effectiveness of the ship unloaders, the belt width of C01AB
conveyer and C05 conveyer under the bucket Bucket-wheelstaker-reclaimer is
1000mm, their belt speed is 2m/s, capacity range is 550t/h and maximum
capacity range is 600t/h. The belt width of other conveyers is 800mm, their belt
speed is 1.6m/s and capacity range is 300t/h.
5.1.3 The coal handling system operated in three shifts and each shift will
operate for about 5h when the 2×110MW are in operation.
5.1.4 Three-way pipe with electric baffle shall be arranged in all T1, T2
and T3 transfer stations and cross-operation can be realized.
5.1.6 Along with heading direction of coal flow, left side of the
double-line conveyer is Line A and the right side is Line B.
5.1.7 flame resistance rubber shall be selected for the conveyers in this
Project.
There are three stages of Tramp Iron Magnet in the conveyer system. The
first stage is disc-type iron separator which is arranged at the middle part of the
C01AB conveyer; the second stage is disc-type iron separator which is arranged
in the system in front of the coal crusher room; the third stage is disc-type iron
separator, which is arranged in the system at the back of the coal crusher room.

Meanwhile, one stage Tramp Iron Magnet will be added in the system of
entering and exiting the coal yard.
Two sets of Coal Sampling Equipment, as the sampling devices for boiler
feeding coal, are arranged in the conveyer system before entering the main
power building.
6.3.Measuring
Electronic belt scales, for measuring the boiler feeding coal, will be
arranged on the middle part of the C01AB conveyer entering into the building
succeeding the ship unloader and on the C03AB conveyer entering into the
main power building. Cyculating dynamic check chain code unit will be
arranged at the same position to carry out a regular check of the electronic belt
scales.

7.3 Inspection & maintenance room and shed house
Separate inspection & maintenance room and shed house of the coal
handling system will not be arranged.
7.4 Bathroom
4):Where the coal falling height is more than 4m, all coal stream chutes
will be equipped with buffering air lock baffles to reduce inducting wind and
dust overflowing.
1)Washing with water will be adopted to clean the coal handling trestle,
coal crusher room, each transfer station and bunker bay.

coal crusher room and each transfer station will be discharged to sump pits and
then delivered to coal deposition tanks by submerged-type multifunctional
pumps.
3)The coal deposition tank is divided into three parts: they are sewage
tank, sedimentation tank and clear water tank. The clear water after defecation
will be discharged into the treatment station and will be reused after treatment.
The coal mud will be delivered into the coal yard through grabbing by the
bridge-type grab or single-track grab.
