You are working for a Joint Venture by consortium of firms (both
Pakistani and Chinese) which has been hired by TETRA-DATA as
management consultants for selection of portfolio projects based on
unbiased method. Recently there has been few opportunities for your
client and you need to select one project for them. Your client
organization has sighted 3 projects, Project A is development of ERP,
Project B is GIS system Implementation and Project C is automation
and modernization of public sector organization. You have to choose
only one project based on three parameters, i.e. potential revenues,
technical skills and organizational fit. The project C will bring 100
Million in revenues, project A will bring 120 Million Revenue and
project B will bring 140 Million Revenues. Your team has full
experience in ERP Development, they have done few projects in
Automation and no project in GIS, though they have hired a new
project manager who has vast experience in GIS and is PhD in this
subject. Project C is perfect fit with your mission vision, objectives
and goals of the organization, Project A is your specialty but for future
direction, your organization want to go beyond typical ERPs. Project
C is high in revenues but is not your core business. Guidelines from
your client are that you have to go for organizational fit and then the
revenues should be considered whereas technical skills can be
acquired from market; Find out which project is acceptable and less
uncertain for your client?
Also check the Consistency Ratio for all the parameters before you
calculate overall priority vector.
