CLASSROOM RULES AND REGULATIONS

GRADE 9 – GOLD (SSP)

The following rules and regulations will ensure your academic success in my class:

1. Attendance is required in the flag ceremony.

2. Be Punctual. Late students are not allowed to take the quiz.
3. If students are late for more than three times, they will be marked “absent”.
4. Students are to remain in their assigned seats during class time unless permission is given by the teacher.
5. Student must never leave the classroom without permission.
6. ASKING OF PAPERS and GOING OUT DURING CLASS HOURS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
7. You are expected to come to class prepared and to participate in all class activities. Always bring textbook,
paper, pen or pencil and any other necessary materials to class each day.
8. No gum cracking, food eating or drinking with the exception of plain water in the classroom while classes
are going on.
9. Attendance is extremely important to successfully complete subject objectives. The responsibility for
initiating make-up work and notes/information missed due to an excused absence rest with the
student. This process should begin immediately upon the students' return to school.
10. Absence from school or any school activity must be substantiated by a valid medical certificate or
documented valid reason.
11. Make up work will be given for excused absences only. It is the students’ responsibility to make sure they
complete all makeup assignments. Students will be given two days after the excused absence to turn in
those assignments.
12. Assignments missed due to a class cut (illegal absence) cannot be made up. A zero (0) grade will be recorded
for the assignment and averaged with the other recorded grades.
13. Turn in all class work, homework, assignments and projects/outputs on time. Late submission is subject for
5 points deduction (Regardless of the total number of items).
14. Students cannot work on assignments for another subject during this class.
15. All members of the class must demonstrate RESPECT at ALL TIMES.
16. Teacher's absence is no excuse for a free period. There is always something to do. Do not harass or
disrespect the substitute teacher.
17. Cheating will not be tolerated. DO YOUR OWN WORK! Evidence of cheating will result in a zero grade being
recorded with no opportunity to redo the assignment, or to have the grade removed from the
records. Cheating consists of copying someone's work and putting your name on it. The zero will be
recorded for ALL STUDENTS involved in the cheating episode. A discipline referral will also be submitted to
the guidance office/administration.
18. NO CELL PHONES allowed during class hours. Confiscated Cell Phones must be retrieved by the
parents/guardians.
19. Do not bring MP3 players, head phones, laptop or any other electronic device into the classroom unless
advised by the teacher.
20. Do not write on the desk/armchair or bulletin boards.
21. Keep the classroom clean. Do your part by picking up the paper around your chair.
22. Proper and prescribed school uniform with ID is required.
