Level: Sixth semester B.1+ Subject: English Duration: 30 minutes

Skill(s) According to the: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.

Objectives
• To encourage students to think about the importance of online safety
• To develop students’ speaking skills by discussions.
• To develop critical thinking skills by reading passages.

Materials:
Computer, TV screen, Papers, Markers.

Procedure
Warm up
- Teacher greets students.
- Teacher makes students create an acronym using the words: Safety, share, Post, trust.
- The team that has the longest word wins.

Body:
- Teacher makes students guessing about what the class is about.
- Teacher presents a video about online safety, and then students comment about it.

- Teacher explains them what the dangers of using internet are, and makes students
give opinions.
- Teacher divides the class in groups of four and shows them some safety tips on the
TV screen.
- Students number the tips from the most useful to the least useful.
- Teacher asks students to sit in a circle to discuss about their choices and gives
them feedback.
Closure
- Teacher shares a document with the students with six tips to be safe when using
internet.
- Students have to choose one of them and in a 3-line paragraph write how to apply
