RELEASE NOTES

1. Installing version 2.85.04 of UV WinLab over an existing version of UV WinLab

(Version 2.80 or earlier) does not automatically remove the program group 'PE
Applications', nor the short cut icons to the old version of UVWinLab.
These should be removed manually. It is advised that all methods are backed
up before starting the upgrade as the 'standard' supplied methods will be
overwritten with the versions on the installation CD. In the event of problems,
delete the contents of the C:\UVWinLab directory and re-install version 2.85.04.

2. Oligonucleotide Calculator: when saving a method that has previously been

saved, the overwrite query is displayed; selecting 'Yes' leads to the
Oligonucleotide Calculator window being minimised. To continue, maximise the
window.

3. A printer must be defined before a print request is made. If not, the first
message displayed implies that UVWinLab cannot print, and further messages may
state that UV WinLab caused a General Protection Fault in module PEBUFRO2.DLL at
0008.3379, which causes the loss of calibration data and graphs. Reboot the PC,
install a printer and restart UV WinLab.

4. Do not attempt to modify or run more than one method at a time, particularly
if more than one 'UVWinLab' satelite application is running (for example, KinLab or
DissolutionLab). This may cause Windows to generate a General Protection Fault,
requiring the PC to be rebooted.

5. The result template Keyword "$TP" (=Peltier set Temperature), will only work
in KinLab Report Templates (*.ktx). It is not available for the Wavelength Program,
Timedrive, Scan and Concentration report templates.
