6 Oral Report Guidelines

Guidelines

1. Each group is to present one application of or some useful/interesting note about


the Fourier transform. Study and understand what you choose to present.
2. Each group is not expected to give detailed derivations or calculations. The
presentation is for everyone to gain new or deeper insights about the Fourier
transform. While the reference material can be very technical, the group should
pick out only the important ideas.
3. The presentation should be at most 20 minutes long only.
4. After the presentation, 5 to 10 minutes will be allotted for question-and-answer.
5. Each group member should participate fully in his/her group’s work; hence, each
member will be asked a question about their report. Everyone is expected to answer
without help from their groupmates.
6. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. References should be cited in the appropriate
slide(s).
7. The group’s grade will be computed as follows:

* The group reports will be held from April 22 to April 30, 2019.
* Signing up for the schedule will be on a first-come first-served basis.
