MINI PROJECT (AY2019-20)
NAME: Mini Project CLASS:B.Tech(EEE),III-B
BATCH: V SEMESTER: II

TITLE OF THE PROJECT: SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF PERTURB AND OBSERVE MPPT
ALGORITHM FOR PV ARRAY USING BOOST CONVERTER
AIM: To modeling and simulation of PV array employing the maximum power point
tracking (MPPT) model describing.

SCOPE OF WORD: This paper presents the comparative analysis between constant duty
cycle and Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithm for extracting the power from
Photovoltaic Array (PVA). Because of nonlinear characteristics of PV cell, the maximum
power can be extract under particular voltage condition. Therefore, Maximum Power
Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms are used to maximize the output power. In this paper
the MPPT algorithm is implemented using Boost converter. The P&O MPPT technique is
a direct control method enables ease to implement and less complexity.

KEY WORD: Photovoltaic Array (PVA), MPPT, Booster Converter.

BRIEF DISCRIPTION: In this project MPPT based DC/DC Converter is designed in MATLAB
with boost converter
