Australasian Wealth Limited 2011-2016


Chief Operating Officer
Reported to the CEO and Board, the role of Chief Operating Officer held responsibility for
operations and all distribution channels.
 Restructured and broadened the distribution component to transform the
business into a sales driven organisation.
 Developed a transition process and team to bring on board over 40 new
Advisers into the dealer group over a 10 month period.
 Life Insurance sales increased from approx. $150k per month to a run rate
of between $1.5m - $1.8m per month as a result of the changes and Adviser
transitions.
 Restructured the back office operations and enabling the processing of five
times the volumes previously experienced while at all times monitoring and
planning for capacity as the business grew exceptionally quickly.
 Designed the strategy for transforming the workforce within the dealer
group
 Devised management structure, exiting non performers, office
consolidation, established support services, implemented outsourced solution and
designed a strategy to turn a cost centre into a revenue generating business in its
own right.
 Established an activity based sales process generating $134m in new
business within its first 12 months after launch.

Key Achievements
Designed and launched a new on-line stockbroking strategy leading to a fivefold increase
in new accounts, record trading volumes and performance significantly above targets.
 Revived the wholesale division. Lead significant online stockbroking
mandate wins.
 Led the business through a significant change management program and
restructure where functions were centralised and all sales, marketing, dealing and
support functions were transformed.
 Operating costs were reduced by over 45% and staff numbers by 40% (to
165).
 Successfully integrated 2 distinct businesses ensuring they worked together
and leveraged off each other for the benefit of the entire business.
 Developed a strong relationship with industry bodies during a time when
the industry was under intense scrutiny.
