CELBAN Test Prep

English as an Additional Language


CELBAN Test Prep is a short test preparation course. It is intended for those internationally educated-nurses who
are applying for licensing either to the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC) or to the College of
Registered Nurses of BC (CRNBC) and who are required to demonstrate English language proficiency before entry
to practice in the Canadian Workplace. CELBAN (Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses)
allows you to demonstrate your English language skills using your nursing background.

Course Outcomes
• Strategies for test-taking
• Familiarization with the format of the test
• Increased knowledge and understanding of your language levels (using the Canadian Language Benchmarks)

Course information Program admission requirements


• Length: 8 weeks, Saturdays • Be an internationally-trained nurse
• Start: January, April, September • CLB 8 or above for Listening, and CLB 7 or above

• Government ID
• Payment for test: $60
