What All You Need to Know About SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019?

Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has released the notification for Combined Higher
Secondary Level posts’ recruitments for the year 2018 in the year 2019 on 5th March
2019. The number of vacancies will be decided in due course. More than 2.5 million
students apply for these posts, but among them, only a few thousand get selected. In
the year 2017, 26 lakh students applied for SSC CHSL. The students who have
passed class 12th in science, commerce or arts stream get a chance to get
government job through SSC 10+2 CHSL recruitments. The Staff Selection
Commission conducts competitive exams for recruitments of these posts. These
posts are for various Ministries/ Departments or Offices of Government of India.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018:

The aspirants for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018 must check the eligibility criteria given
below before applying for the exams. The candidate must have the following
minimum eligibility in order to apply for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019:

1. Nationality:

The candidate applying for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018 must be:

1. An Indian citizen, or
2. A subject of Nepal/ Bhutan, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01/01/1962, or
4. A person of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Tanzania,
Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
Ethiopia & Vietnam with a view of permanently settling in India.
5. The candidates in category (b), (c) and (d) must have a certificate of eligibility
by the Government of India.
6. Age limit:

Age group 18-27
Upper limit for DOB 02/08/1992
Lower limit for DOB 01/08/2001
Relaxation in upper age limit for various categories is as follows:

1. Educational qualifications:

Following are the minimum education qualifications required for SSC 10+2 CHSL
2018 (as on 01/08/2019):

For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except the The candidates must have passed
DEOs of C & AG) standard 12th or equivalent examination
from any recognized board or university.
DEOs in office of Comptroller and The candidate must have passed standard
Auditor General of India (A & CG) 12th in science stream with Mathematics
as a subject from any recognized board or
university

1. Medical standards and physical fitness:

The candidate applying for SSC CHSL 2018 exams must be mentally and physically
fit. The medical fitness criteria are mentioned in the section III of official
notification. Also, the relaxation for disabilities is mentioned in the notification. The
candidate applying for the exam must check the notification before applying for the
exam. The physical standards are different for different zones.

NUMBER OF VACANCIES FOR SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018

The vacancies for SSC CHSL 2018 are not updated yet. The candidates can check the

website of SSC.

The Staff Selection Commission of India is going to conduct exams for Combined
Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) recruitments for the year 2019. Among lakhs of
students who apply for these posts every year, only a few thousands are selected.
These jobs give a privilege to students who have only passed standard 12th in
science, commerce or arts stream or any equivalent course from known boards or
universities to get government jobs. The Staff Selection Commission recruits Lower
Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/
Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’
i.e. DEOs for the office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India for the ministries/
departments/ offices of the government of India.

Exam pattern for Tier-III Typing/ Skill Test of SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019

For the Typing/ Skill test of data entry operator the candidate will be given a printed
material with a specified number of key depressions in English. He/ She have to type
the content as given in this printed material.

1. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator:

 Key depressions in printed material given to candidates- 2000 to 2200


 Minimum key depressions per hour- 8000
 Time duration- 15 minutes

2. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator in office of the Comptroller and Auditor
General of India:
 Key depressions in printed material given to candidates- 3700 to 4000
 Minimum key depressions per hour- 15000
 Time duration- 15 minutes

3. Skill test for LDC/ JSA and PA/SA:

The candidates will be given a passage. He/ she have to type this passage on the
computer

1. For candidates opting for English medium:

 Minimum typing speed – 35 words per minute or 10500 key depressions per
hour
 Time duration – 10 minutes

2. For candidates opting for Hindi medium:

 Minimum typing speed – 30 words per minute or 9000 key depressions per
hour
 Time duration – 10 minutes

The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts competitive exams for


recruitment of Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) posts. Students who
have cleared standard 12th in any stream from any known board or university get
an opportunity of appearing for government jobs by giving the SSC 10+2 CHSL.

SSC 10 + 2 CHSL Tier 1 2019: Admit Card

Candidates who have applied for the SSC CHSL Examination 2018, which would be held from
1st July 2019 to 26th July 2019 can download the Admit Card for the Tier I examination. The
official notification for the same was released on 05th March 2019 by the Staff Selection
Commission(SSC) and the online application process continued for a month till 05th April
2019.

SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019: How to prepare for the exam?

The selection procedure for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019 posts happens through the
following examinations:

 The questions in the section of Quantitative Aptitude are complex and
consume more time than other sections. So, attempt this section later.
Prefer to finish the other sections first.
 The English section of the paper is less time consuming, but the questions

 The General Awareness section requires minimum time and is the most
