What All You Need To Know About SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019?
Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has released the notification for Combined Higher
Secondary Level posts’ recruitments for the year 2018 in the year 2019 on 5th March
2019. The number of vacancies will be decided in due course. More than 2.5 million
students apply for these posts, but among them, only a few thousand get selected. In
the year 2017, 26 lakh students applied for SSC CHSL. The students who have
passed class 12th in science, commerce or arts stream get a chance to get
government job through SSC 10+2 CHSL recruitments. The Staff Selection
Commission conducts competitive exams for recruitments of these posts. These
posts are for various Ministries/ Departments or Offices of Government of India.

The aspirants for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018 must check the eligibility criteria given
below before applying for the exams. The candidate must have the following
minimum eligibility in order to apply for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019:
1. Nationality:
The candidate applying for SSC 10+2 CHSL 2018 must be:
1. An Indian citizen, or
2. A subject of Nepal/ Bhutan, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01/01/1962, or
4. A person of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Tanzania,
Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
Ethiopia & Vietnam with a view of permanently settling in India.
5. The candidates in category (b), (c) and (d) must have a certificate of eligibility
by the Government of India.
6. Age limit:
OBC- 13 years
SC/ST- 15 years
4. Ex-serviceman 3 years (after deduction of military
service rendered from actual age as on
closing date of online application receipt)
5. Candidates domiciled in J & K 5 years
during 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989
6. Defence personnel disabled in Unreserved- 3 years
operations during hostilities with
any foreign country or in SC/ST- 8 years
distributed area and released as a
consequence thereof
7. Central Government Civilian Unreserved- up to 40 years of age
employees (rendered not less than
3 years of regular or continuous SC/ST- up to 45 years of age
service)
8. Widows/ Divorced women/ Unreserved- up to 35 years of age
judicially separated women who
are not remarried SC/ST- up to 40 years of age
9. Service clerks in last year of their Unreserved- up to 45 years of age
colour service in armed forces
SC/ST- up to 50 years of age
10. Retrenched census employees of 3 years + length of service rendered by
the office of Registrar General of them

1. Educational qualifications:
Following are the minimum education qualifications required for SSC 10+2 CHSL
2018 (as on 01/08/2019):
For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except the The candidates must have passed
DEOs of C & AG) standard 12th or equivalent examination
from any recognized board or university.
DEOs in office of Comptroller and The candidate must have passed standard
Auditor General of India (A & CG) 12th in science stream with Mathematics
as a subject from any recognized board or
university
The candidate applying for SSC CHSL 2018 exams must be mentally and physically
fit. The medical fitness criteria are mentioned in the section III of official
notification. Also, the relaxation for disabilities is mentioned in the notification. The
candidate applying for the exam must check the notification before applying for the
exam. The physical standards are different for different zones.

The Staff Selection Commission of India is going to conduct exams for Combined
Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) recruitments for the year 2019. Among lakhs of
students who apply for these posts every year, only a few thousands are selected.
These jobs give a privilege to students who have only passed standard 12th in
science, commerce or arts stream or any equivalent course from known boards or
universities to get government jobs. The Staff Selection Commission recruits Lower
Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/
Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’
i.e. DEOs for the office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India for the ministries/
departments/ offices of the government of India.

Exam pattern for Tier-II Descriptive paper of SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019
Exam pattern for Tier-III Typing/ Skill Test of SSC 10+2 CHSL 2019
For the Typing/ Skill test of data entry operator the candidate will be given a printed
material with a specified number of key depressions in English. He/ She have to type
the content as given in this printed material.
2. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator in office of the Comptroller and Auditor
General of India:
Key depressions in printed material given to candidates- 3700 to 4000
Minimum key depressions per hour- 15000
Time duration- 15 minutes
The candidates will be given a passage. He/ she have to type this passage on the
computer
Minimum typing speed – 35 words per minute or 10500 key depressions per
hour
Time duration – 10 minutes
Minimum typing speed – 30 words per minute or 9000 key depressions per
hour
Time duration – 10 minutes
Candidates who have applied for the SSC CHSL Examination 2018, which would be held from
1st July 2019 to 26th July 2019 can download the Admit Card for the Tier I examination. The
official notification for the same was released on 05th March 2019 by the Staff Selection
Commission(SSC) and the online application process continued for a month till 05th April
2019.

candidate gets the job only if all tiers of the examination are cleared. One can only
