SECRETARY OF STATE APPROVES POLIS RECALL PETITION

Dismiss Polis now has 60 days to gather signatures to force recall

STERLING, CO, July 8, 2019 — Six months to the day after taking office, Gov. Jared Polis
becomes the first Governor of Colorado to face a recall effort.

The Colorado Secretary of State’s office approved the petition format for Dismiss Polis, an issue
committee focused solely on getting the funding to print the number of petitions needed in the
effort.

Groups focused on finding volunteer support for this effort now have 60 days to gather 631,266
valid signatures of registered voters by Sept. 6. The goal is 900,000; 15,000 packets with 1.2
million signature lines will be distributed across Colorado in all 64 counties over the next week.

Voters will be asked to recall Polis based on the following statement:

Governor Jared Polis should be recalled because he supported and signed:

1. SB 19-042, enacting and joining Colorado into an interstate compact to elect the
president of the United States by national, popular vote;
2. SB 19-181, reforming the regulation of the oil and gas industry in Colorado despite the
voters’ defeat of Proposition 112’s drilling regulations;
3. HB 19-1032, mandating comprehensive human sexuality education and appropriating one
million dollars annually in grant funds for its dissemination; and
4. HB 19-1177, creating the ability for a family or household member to petition the court
for a temporary extreme risk protection order to prohibit an individual from possessing a
firearm.

There are several kick-off signing events planned across the state this week:

1. From 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 10th at Colorado Shooting Sports, 2435 8th
Ave., Greeley.
2. From 1-8 p.m., at God’s Country Cowboy Church, 5505 W. Eisenhower Blvd.,
Loveland.
3. From 2-7 p.m., Thursday in the True Value Parking Lot, 1838 N. 12th Street,
Grand Junction.
4. From 4-7 p.m., Thursday at the Lamar Community Building, 610 S. 6th Street,
Lamar.
5. From 5-8 p.m., Friday at Carmen’s Mexican Restaurant, 625 Carson Ave., Las
