KLINGERlastic HYPALON RUBBER

(Also known as CSM – Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene)

Hypalon Elastomer commonly known as CSM is a premium grade synthetic rubber sheet
made from 100% CSM polymer. Hypalon is noted for its excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, ozone
and has good weathering properties. It also exhibits good aging, abrasion and heat resistance properties. It
has low gas permeability. Hypalon offers poor resistance to fuels.

General Properties
• Outstanding chemical resistance
• Suitable for use with strong acids
• Excellent resistance to sunlight, ozone
• Good mechanical properties
• Low seating stress to seal

Applications
• Concentrated sulfuric and other acids, Hypochlorite solutions
• Oils at elevated temperatures
• Applications requiring resistance to heat, abrasion
• Applications requiring maximum retention of elastic properties
• Applications requiring good mechanical properties
