The Second Conditional Uses
Second conditional is used when there is an unreal possibility that the condition
will happen, maybe in the present or future.
The second conditional has two parts the if condition + ( past simple,) and the
main clause ('would' and the infinitive verb)
If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house.(I probably won't win the
lottery)
She would travel all over the world if she were rich.
If I had his number, I would call him. (I don't have his number now, so
it's impossible for me to call him).
If everyone had clean water to drink, there would be a lot less disease.
If the Third World War broke out, it would probably mean the end of
humankind
If you lived in the 19 century, you would understand better the priest
without head legend.
