The Dead Person in Umayyad-Mawlā's Poetry
Abstract

‫ والمتمثل في‬،‫يهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن تشكيل ثقافة اآلخر المفقود في شعر الموالي في العصر األموي‬
‫ وفناء اآلخر المرثي؛ ليسير الشاعر مع هذا المرثي‬،‫ وبيان ضعف الذات الشاعرة أمام قوة الموت وسطوته‬،‫شعر الرثاء‬
.‫ وتأبينه وذكر محاسنه مع بيان أثر فقده‬،‫مراحل موته ونعشه‬
This study attempts to explore the development of the idea of the lost person in the Umayyad-
Mawlā's poetry, which is demonstrated in the lament poetry that depicts the vulnerable poetic
spirit against the power and triumph of death and the loss of the lamented person. This allows
the poet envisages to live with the dead person's entire life stages, his death, funeral and
eulogy with numerating his good deeds and the impact of his loss.

.‫ وإسالمي‬،‫تلك السياقات بأنساق ثقافية تجمع ما تراكم في وعى الشعراء من موروث جاهلي‬
Additionally, the study focuses on discovering the cultural background of the lament
poem in the poetry of Mawlā and highlighting the contributions thereof to the idea of
lamenting in a way that suits their internal emotions the Arab community. Furthermore, the
current study discusses the contexts of lamenting such as the eulogy that is represented in
numerating the merits of the dead person, the lamenting contexts, evident in the
overwhelming shedding of tears, stirring grief and expressing the emotional state that takes
over due to this loss, the condolences voiced in the inevitability of death and the impossibility
of mortality; such contexts are usually expressed by poets with different ways integrating in
their consciences their pre-Islamic and Islamic legacies.
