Before we start our class discussion everybody is

requested to stand for a prayer to be led by (the students are praying)
Patrick.

Good morning class! Good Morning Ms. Buniel!

How are you today?

We’re doing great maam.
That’s good to hear! Who are absent for this

morning?

Very god! Do we have an assignment?

REVIEW None so far Maam.

So, now who can give me a short review about

our last topic?
Any volunteer? Yes Kim?

Very good! Let’s give her a hand.

(recapitulation)

Do you have still clarification about our last

topic?

MOTIVATION: None Maam.

Now I will group you into two, all the students
sitting on the right side will be the Group 1, all
the students sitting in the left side will
automatically be the Group 2. Select 5
representatives from each group to do the
Drawing Charade. The 5 members will act the
words which they select and the members of the
group will guess the mystery word they acted.
Each group will be given 5 minutes to do the
activity. Understand?

Okay from the activity that you have done earlier

what do you think is our topic this morning?

Yes maam. ( The students will do the activity)

About Three Laws of Motion maam.

Yes but before we will tackle the topic kindly
read first the learning objectives that you are
going to attain at this session.

(Students read the objectives.)

All the task given to you are just a few of the

examples of the tree laws of motion that was
introduced to us by Sir Isaac Newton.
Sometimes Ma’am.
Isaac Newton first published his three laws of
motion in 1687, which demonstrated to be
fundamental laws for describing the motion of a
body. These are collectively known as Newton’s
laws of motion.

Kindly read the 1st law of motion Jan-Mark.

Please give me an example Ana-Marie.

force that acts on an object in motion?
A book sliding across a table slows down and stops
because of the force of friction.

It is what we called friction. There are four main types

should have greater force applied to it so it moves

Who among you here can give a generalization

Do you have any clarifications or questions

If none, we will proceed with our next activity.

Yes maám!

There are three laws of motion. Those are, law of

do is to assign a group leader who will pick a
piece of paper that contains the newton’s law of
motion. You are going to give an example of
those laws of motion in a real life setting and
explain. Do you understand?

(after the activity)

ASSESSMENT

Instruction:
Kindly get ½ sheet of paper and answer
the following.

1. How long will an object remain at rest,

according to Newton’s First Law of Motion? Yes maám!

a. It can’t rest.
b. Until noon.
c. Until an unbalanced force occurs.
d. As long as there are unbalanced forces acting
on it.

2. Which of Newton’s Law of Motion describes

the amount of force applied to accelerate an
object’s mass?

a. newton’s 1st law

b. newton’s 2nd law
c. newton’s 3rd law
d. newton’s fourth law

3. For every _____ there is an equal and opposite

_____.

a. reaction, action
b. action, action
c. reaction, reaction
d. action, reaction

4. The amount of force needed to move an

object is measured in _____.

a. newtons
b. kilometers
c. seconds
d. grams

5. How could you tell if a moving object is

receiving an unbalanced force?

a. it might speed up
b. it might slow down
c. it might change direction
d. it might do any of the three things mentioned
above

ASSIGNMENT

Study our next lesson for tomorrow. Explain the

subtle distinction between newtons 1st law of
motion (or law of inertia) and galileos assertion
that force is not necessary to sustain horizontal
motion. Refer to this reference located at the
internet.
