ABOUT THE PROJECT:
• Local History in Images and Words was a project for students
between 8-13 years old.
ACTIVITIES:
1. In this project students went to their local museum
2. They found some interesting myths and local legends, then they
translated in English their stories and displayed it on twinnspace.
3. They also collected information from their grandparents or family
about some local legends and then presented it on the space
project.
4. They painted on the scool walls their favourite legends;
AIMS:

1. Children got acquaintance with their local history, myths and legends.
2. They improved their English skills
3. They got used to realize tasks in time.
4. They learned to collaborate and to make research work.
5. They learned how to work on an e-learning platform.
WORK PROCESS:

• We worked with our partner school using Internet tools like chat, forum and web publishing.
• Each of us presented photos and PPT on the working area after we finished every planned activity.
ACTIVITY:
- on 1-10 march we went to the local museum to gather information's about local legends/myths.
- on 11-12 march we published it on the working area, then the students from the partner school
wrote their opinion about the published material.
- on march-april teams of 3-4 pupils worked together, they made pictures and gathered
information, made a short video/PPT.
• Then the whole team painted on the school walls the hero/heroine of their selected legends/myth.
EXPECTED RESULTS

• We planned to make visible our work on twinnspace and to encourage all partner schools to
exchange experience and knowledge in working with pupils.
• Pupils had a better understanding of their local legends, but also of the school partner;
• They have improved their communications skills and have achieved some e-learning tools;
