1. Read everything carefully before doing anything.

2. Pull out one sheet of lined paper.

3. Write your name in the upper right-hand corner of your paper.
4. Raise your left hand and make a circle in the air.
5. Loudly call out your first name.
6. Circle your name.
7. Write the name of your school under your name.
8. If you have followed directions carefully to this point, call out "I have.”
9. Draw a rectangle around the name of your school.
10. Draw five small squares in the upper left-hand corner.
11. Put an "X" in each square.
12. In your normal speaking voice, count from ten to one backwards.
13. Put a circle around each square.
14. Write out the Pledge of Allegiance in the center of your paper.
15. Draw 20 stars on the right side of the red margin on your paper.
16. Title your paper: Can you follow directions.
17. Draw of picture of the United States flag on the back of your paper.
18. Sign your name under the title of your paper.
19. After the title write, "Yes, yes, yes.”
20. Under the picture of the flag write the number of stars on the flag.
21. When you reach this point, LOUDLY call out, “I AM THE LEADER IN FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS."
22. Put an "X" in the lower left-hand corner of your paper.
23. Draw a triangle around the "X" you just put down.
24. Write the number of stripes on the flag above the picture of the flag.
25. On the back of your paper, multiply 703 by 66.
26. Loudly call out, "I AM NEARLY FINISHED. I HAVE FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS.”
27. On the reverse side of your paper, add 8950 and 9805.
28. Write the year you were born on line 10 of your paper.
29. Put a circle around your answer, and put a square around the circle.
30. Draw an outline of the United States around the picture of the flag.
31. Print your first name backwards in the right hand corner of your paper.
32. Draw an arrow next to line 15 on your paper.
33. Punch three small holes in the top of this paper with your pencil point.
34. List all even numbers on the left side of your paper from 1-100.
35. List all the odd numbers on the right side of your paper from 1-100.
36. Write the name of your best friend on line 8 on the left side.
37. Now that you have finished reading everything carefully, do only sentences one and two!
38. Some of your classmates may not have read all of the directions before beginning. Don’t give it away! Pretend that
you are still reading and writing on this piece of paper.
