    Necessary preliminary work:


    Remove cylinder head.

    The cylinder head gasket is designed as a beaded metal gasket.


    Pay attention to gasket thickness (1).

    Highest piston protrusion at measuring points (1 and 2) of all 4 pistons determines thickness of cylinder
    head gasket.
    Piston protrusion up to 0.92 mm
    - Install 1-hole cylinder head gasket.
    Piston protrusion >0.92 ... 1.03 mm
    - Install 2-hole cylinder head gasket.
    Piston protrusion greater than >1.03 ...1.18 mm
    - Install 3-hole cylinder head gasket.

    Assemble engine.
