 Importance & Socio-economic relevance of Design Thinking:

Design thinking is generally defined as an analytic and creative process that engages a
person in opportunities to experiment, create and prototype models, gather feedback,
and redesign.
Several characteristics (e.g., visualization, creativity) that a good design thinker should
possess have been identified from the literature. The primary purpose of this article is to
summarize and synthesize the research on design thinking to (a) better understand its
characteristics and processes, as well as the differences between novice and expert design
thinkers, and (b) apply the findings from the literature regarding the application of design
thinking to our educational system. The authors’ overarching goal is to identify the features
and characteristics of design thinking and discuss its importance in promoting students’
problem-solving skills in the 21st century.

 Here are a few reasons why team building is important:

1. Facilitates better communication– Activities that create discussion enable open

communication among members. This can improve relationships and in turn, the quality of
work done.

2.Motivates members– Team leadership and team building go hand in hand. The
morecomfortable your members are to express their ideas and opinions, the more confident
they will become. This will motivate them to take on new challenges.

3.Promotes creativity–Taking a team outside and exposing them to new experiences will
force them to think outside of their normal routine. Working together with other team
members can ignite creativity and fresh ideas.

4. Develops problem- solving skills–Team building activities that require members to work
together to solve problems can improve the ability to think rationally and strategically. Teams
that are able to determine when a problem arises and know what they can do about it, can
they effectively take charge when a real crisis occurs.

Our domain is Transportation and we started it all with gathering information on means of
transportation. We visited Dabholi circle, Katargam in Surat city and collected some data

Our selected user is a Driver.

Our selected stakeholders were Traffic police, sweeper, wanders, pedestrian, children, dogs,
mechanic.

HAPPY STORY

1. Rasikbhai was a diamond worker of age 35 years living in surat city. He

used to use rickshaw for reaching his working place. In past he had to wait
for rickshaw for at least 15 minute but on that day he instantly got a
rickshaw at his stop then he travelled towards his working place. The
rickshaw driver played some beautiful songs. On the way they passed
through a bridge they viewed a very beautiful scenario he reached at his
office early then he usually arrives.
2. Bhargav bhai, 29 years old living in ahemdabad city. Once was out for a
long drive with his wife. He and his wife were on the way in their car. They
drove through traffic less route. They travelled through beautiful area .they
got some snacks from a stall near road. Then they passed near a river they
felt a cold breeze. Then they took a hault on mid bridge and took some cold
drinks and enjoyed the surrounding atmosphere then they finally reached
home back happily.

 SAD STORY
1. Ramanbhai,36 year old was living in surat city. He was a civil engineer and
was working with a company named Oliver’s contractors. He wakeup at 7
am in morning and get ready for his office at 8 am he lives for his office.he
was heading towards his office in his car . He was heading towards his office
but a tree was fallen on the road due to heavy rain and wind last night and
thus the road was blocked and he has to change his route but that road was
flooded with rain water. eventually he was late to reach his office
2. Ramji bhai, 34 years old was living in bardoli city he was a manager at
HDFC bank he wakeup early in the morning and get ready for his office he
cleaned his bike and lived for his office on the way his tyre got punctured he
somehow managed to reach a mechanic and got his tyre repaired he drove
his bike upon cow dung further fuel in his bike exhausted somehow he
,manage to arranged some fuel and then reached petrol p[ump for refueling
his bike after all these stuff he reached his office very late.
