1. Brief Introduction of the Topic/Study


a. Title of the Study: “Effects of CSR on the Consumer Perception for a
Bank
-A study on Dutch Bangla Bank
Ltd.”

b. Profile of the Organization or Business Establishment

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (the Bank, DBBL) is a scheduled joint venture commercial bank between
local Bangladeshi parties spearheaded by M Sahabuddin Ahmed (Founder & Chairman) and the Dutch
company FMO. DBBL was established under the Bank Companies Act 1991 and incorporated as a
public limited company under the Companies Act 1994 in Bangladesh with the primary objective to carry
on all kinds of banking business in Bangladesh. DBBL commenced formal operation from June 3, 1996.
The Bank is listed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited.

c. Rationale of the Study:We are trying to find out whether Dutch


Bangla Bank is doing something good for the people and society’s
wefare or not.Are they fulfilling their promise? Are they providing
better quality service or not?

2. Statement of the Problems


• To inform you what is “Corporate Social Responsibility”
• In what way corporation build up “Corporate Social Responsibility”
• Who are benefited from Corporate Social Responsibility
• How consumers are benefited by “Corporate Social Responsibility”
• Effects of CSR on consumer’s perception.

3.Scope and Delimitation of the Study.


Scope of the study is to consider as the area or the department
where we are going to work according to our requirements. The
scope of the study topic is the department of social welfare. That
department is only responsible for doing social activities that
brings benefit for the society.

Objectives of the Study


a. Broad/General Objective
The broad objective of the report is to identify the effects of CSR on the consumer perception for Dutch
Bangla Bank Ltd.

b. Specific Objectives

1) To identify the importance & benefits of CSR in banking sectors,


2) To know the steps taken by DBBL for CSR,
3) To identify how consumers reacting to this concept,
4) To identify the impact of CSR on consumer perception,
5) To identify the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of consumers.

3. Methodology of the Study

a. Research Design:It is a descriptive type of research

b. Data Collection Method: We are collecting data both in primary and secondary data collection
method.

c. Sample Design: We had a very short time to collect data. So we found out the problems
related in Banani, Gulshan and Uttara branch.

d. Fieldwork: Gathering or collecting information by using questionnaire, We will ask question to


our respondent and based on their response or feed back we will gather or get our desired
information.

e. Analysis: We are analysis that how DBBL do their CSR activities and They have any problem
or not.We also give some recommendation .

Schedule of Activities:
1st wk. Made a plan and working activities list and got together all the group members.
2nd wk. Visited all the branches of Dutch Bangla Bank and collect all the information.
3rd wk. Analyzed all those data, find out problems and gave solution.
