I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:


a) identify that protons determine an elements identity;
b) recite at least 20 elements from the periodic table.

Materials: Power point presentation, television chalk, illustration board and eraser

B. Motivation/ Activity
1. The teacher will group the students into four (4) for the activity listed below:
 Video Presentation
C. Analysis
1. What are the things you recall from the video about what is atom?
D. Abstraction
1. (Day 1) Discussion of the topic (Refer to page 191-205)
E. Application
 (Day 2) Identification of protons from the elements in periodic table.
IV. EVALUATION
1. (Day 3) Oral Recitation (Memorization of the Periodic Table)
V. ASSIGNMENT
1. Study in advance the Valence Electron and Electron Configuration.
