EARTHQUAKE AND FIRE DRILL

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
In line with the observance of the fire prevention month, a fire and earthquake
drill were conducted in Magsaysay Elementary School last June 20, 2019 in response
with 2nd Quarter Nationwide School-Based Simultaneous Earthquake and Fire Drills.

The activity aimed to train the pupils and teachers to test the various elements as
guidance for conducting and preparing an emergency response plan and drill regimen in
the school.

Earthquake drill and exercises are an extremely important part of your

preparedness plan because they 1) teach students, staff and parents how to respond to the
complications of an actual earthquake, and 2) help you evaluate how well all parts of
your emergency plan work together.

During a damaging earthquake and fire, life protecting actions must be taken
immediately. There will be time to decide what to do next; everyone must already know
how to react appropriately. After the disaster, future life protecting actions such as
emergency evacuation or first aid administration may be necessary; well-trained staff and
pupils will guarantee that these crucial steps are taken as quickly as possible.
