combination of a nitrogen derivative with polycarboxylic acid, alkylaryl sulfonate and inorganic salts

Characteristics
Appearance: clear, yellowish brown liquid
Ionicity: anionic
Viscosity: fluid
Solubility/Emulsifiability: easily soluble with water
pH value of 10% solution: 8 to 8.5
Resistance: compatible with non-ionic and anionic products; resistant to acids
and alkalis in usual concentrations and to hard water
Storage: 12 months if properly stored
Stability to frost: not sensitive to frost

Application properties
SETAVIN RCO controls the liquor exhaustion rate and lowers the rate of fixation during reactive
dyeing. These properties promote level dyeings particularly of cellulose based synthetic fibres
such as viscose, lyocell, modal and micromodal. The product has a sequestering effect regarding
hardness elements which may be contained in the process water, in the goods and in the
electrolyte additives. SETAVIN RCO has a positive influence on the bicarbonate problem the
dyer is faced with in reactive dyeing. The reproducibility of the dyeings is improved.

Application fields
SETAVIN RCO is designed as a levelling agent for reactive dyeings on cellulose fibres and silk

• in processes with increasing dyeing temperature

• in processes with constant dyeing temperature
• for high, medium and low reactivity dyestuffs

The levelness of reactive dyeings of materials with a high dyestuff affinity such as viscose,
modal, lyocell, soja seacell and bamboo is essentially improved.

Guidelines for application

SETAVIN RCO is dilutable with cold or warm water in all proportions.
When liquor circulation is high enough, SETAVIN RCO can also be added undiluted.

Depending on the colour shade, the depth of shade and the kind of material, the suggested
application amounts are

0.5 to 3.0 g/l SETAVIN RCO.

Order of addition:

• Add half of the quantity of SETAVIN RCO at the beginning of the dyeing process.
• Add half of the quantity of SETAVIN RCO together with the dyestuff solution.
