The document provides a lesson plan for teaching senior high school students about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The objectives are for students to learn how to properly perform CPR, understand its importance for lifesaving, and apply it in accident scenarios. The lesson plan outlines reviewing past lessons, a motivational video, and teaching the proper procedures of CPR using the DRABC mnemonic. Students will participate in a group activity creating a scenario applying CPR to a drowning victim and are assigned to research bandaging techniques.

What is Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, is an emergency procedure that combines chest compression often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing. In Performing the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, you need to remember the five letter DRABC. What these five letters stand for: DANGER- make sure that the area is safety for yourself and the victim. Remove unnecessary things like metals, plastic, bags and other things that might cause another injury to the victim. RESPONSE- tap gently the shoulder of the victim. Ask the victim using the four letters which is “COWS”. The “COWS” stands for Can you hear me? Open your eyes? What is your name? and squeeze your hand. If the victim is unresponsive, call immediately for a medical assistance. AIRWAYS - tilt the head of the victim, open the mouth and check the airways. BREATHING LOOK - if the chest is raising normal. LISTEN - for normal breathing sounds. FEEL - feel the breath against your face. COMPRESSION - Give 30 chest compression and 2 rescue breath IV. EVALUATION GROUP ACITIVITY Create a scenario on how to perform the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in the drowning person during Christmas Vacation. V. ASSIGMENT Bring Triangular Bandage and study in advance about the different bandaging.
