Bharath sago factory was setup in 1974 by Mr.P.Ramasamy. A modernized sago


factory located at Sarvoy Pudhur, 64 kms from the city of Salem. We have the
privilege of being the oldest factory in the field. Being in the second generation, the
factory is run by his son Mr.S.R.Sathiyamoorthy who has taken all the pain and efforts
to establish the Lotus brand with his rich experience in the sago field without any
diversion is looking after the entire activities, right from purchase of raw material, till
the finished product, which has resulted in, uniform standard quality products for the
consumers. Despite the advances in machinery in the sago field we prefer to
manufacture the product in the traditional method with additional preference to
hygiene. Bharath Sago Factory is the leading pioneer in sago Products for over 40
years.
The main aim of the company is to distribute chemical free sago to the consumers.
Bharath Sago has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification, Agmark
Certification for consistently delivering quality products and also certified by Food
Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI Certification).
What's Sago ?
Sago is a processed food product obtained from tapioca tuber. Sago requires further
cooking before consumption. Sago consumers prefer white colour. This product is
mainly used during the fasting period. Basically sago can be classified into two types
based on the type of processing.
