Timeline:
■■ 1976 - BPP established to provide accountancy training.
■■ 1987 - Began listing on the London Stock Exchange.
■■ 1991 - BPP opened first UK study centre outside London.
■■ 1991 - BPP Law School founded.
■■ 1993 - BPP Learning Media established to produce study Higher Education (QAA). The QAA confirmed that BPP University
materials for BPP programs.
■■ 2000 - Launched City Legal Practice Course.
■■ 2004 - Launched Pro Bono Centre for community legal services.
■■ 2007 - Degree-awarding powers granted to BPP University (BPP
College as it then was) by the UK Government Privy Council.
■■ 2009 - BPP became part of Apollo Global, Inc.
■■ 2009 - BPP Professional Education launched the Online Classroom.
■■ 2010 - BPP Business School London City opened.
■■ 2010 - BPP College granted University College status, becoming BPP
University College of Professional Studies Ltd.
■■ 2010 - BPP University Careers Service received Matrix Accreditation.
■■ 2010 - BPP won Education Investor Magazine Best Post-16 Education
Provider Award.
■■ 2011 - BPP Learning Media learning materials earned Double Platinum
seal of approval by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
■■ 2011 - BPP School of Health launched.
■■ 2012 - Launch of BPP Professional Education’s fully interactive
online learning experience Online Classroom Live.
■■ 2012 - BPP University underwent its regular six yearly
institutional review by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for

■■ 2013 - BPP University given permission to use the “University”
title by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and
officially became BPP University.

Professional Education Provider of the Year Award
■■ 2014 - Launched Career Development Guarantee offering
our CIMA and ACCA students Free Professional Development
courses in addition to their course.

Accreditation:
■■ BPP Learning Media is an ACCA approved content provider.
■■ BPP University Ltd was the first private company in 30 years to be granted degree awarding powers by the UK Government in 2007.
■■ The BPP Group has multiple accreditations, approvals and validations from external regulatory and professional bodies.
