Lesson Plan in ENGLISH 9

I. Objectives The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of
literature and other texts types for a deeper appreciation of Philippine Culture and those of
other countries.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text
types serve as means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world; also how to use
the features of a full-length play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive constructions
plus direct and indirect speech to enable him/her competently performs in a full-length play.
B. Performance Standards The learner competently performs in a full-length play through applying effective verbal and non-
verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery and
Dramatic Conventions.
C. Learning Competencies At the end of the lesson, the majority of the students should be able to:

Group 3- will recite a poem dedicated to heroes
Group 4-will draw a heroic symbol and explain its significance to their lives
