SUMMARY

Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tools. As the saying said, when

someone work someone learned. On-the job training (OJT) is a professional learning

experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or

career interest. This gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and

development, and to learn new skills. This training also served as stepping stone to became

more equip on the future career.

The trainee conducted her on-the job training at Bangko Mabuhay (A Rural Bank),

Inc. It is a private, stock corporation engaged in the business of savings and mortgage

banking. It provides the public with financial services such as loans, deposit, bills payment

and remittance. She was assigned in Accounting Department that is responsible for

preparation for financial accounting information necessary for management purposes. It is

also responsible in compiling the daily transaction summary of every department of the

Bangko Mabuhay. As a trainee, she was assigned to compile the daily transaction based

on the batch number. She also assigned to file the daily transaction summary, list of demand

account, summary of account balance, and other document needed by the department.

Through the internship program, the trainee experienced working at the bank. She

also experiences different challenging task which developed her sense of responsibility in

accomplishing certain duties with neatness. It also improved her morale and good

succession planning that would help her in overcoming her weakness. The trial and

problems encountered served as motivations and learning experience in a workplace.

Therefore, the internship or On the Job Training really a great help for the student became

equip in their future career and practice work ethics and professionalism.
