As I start this term paper to be honest I only knew in Economic development is

only about improvement of growth in economy I’m oblivious from what I know before ,
as the lesson goes by that Economic Development has a broad topic and has a lot to
concern including economic, social, political, and institutional mechanism to bring out
improvements in a country. There are many ways to achieve Economic Development a
lot of theories can eventually applied but not absolutely or entirely applied to all
economy therefore some aspect can be helpful and useful , also achieving economic
development action is a must . Before achieving Economic Development it has a lot
thing to do to finally recognized that your country Is a developed country some
countries start from bottom to rise up like what south Korea did from past they start
helping each they even donate their gold bars, jewelries and other property to start up
and so on and some are dependent to foreign aid , investments and capitals to improve
their country .

Let’s see the Divergent Development of Pakistan and Bangladesh . According

from what I’ve read to make the story short Pakistan and Bangladesh hate each other
before Bangladesh gains its independence which previously known as East Pakistan .
Pakistan and Bangladesh make an comparative exercise in economic development who
have the same population . But there’s this sentence caught my attention which is “
Pakistan a leading example of ‘growth without development ‘ with low social indicators
for its income . And Bangladesh though still very poor afflicted with many social
problems with Pakistan , has been transforming itself from symbol of famine to symbol
of hope. How was this happened knowing Bangladesh was known as East Pakistan was
drained of tax revenues to benefit from Pakistan . After the independence Pakistan
leave a wider gap and left the wounds from the past .

And this happened the U.S statesman without manner and dubbed Bangladesh
as “international basket case” others notice it and called it “ test case for development “
it means if the development could happen anywhere , Bangladesh can make it too. And
now Bangladesh’s presence on the world stage has taken a new urgency as it shoulders
the important diplomatic and humanitarian tests even though Bangladesh continues to
have serious development problems . And started at low level of social development but
it made better progress than Pakistan , and has the conditions for accelerating economic
progress in the coming years . As years passes by Bangladesh continue its development
to farm yields are up a traditional society dramatically and the economic growth rate as
result increase in per capita income than in Pakistan . But in Pakistan the growth rate
was declining decade by decade it may be result from poor performance , and
Bangladesh is impressive declined in poverty especially the rural areas and fertility
tends to fall as economic and social progress increase, even in education and literacy,
Bangladesh also recently begun a drive to modernize and bulk-ups its military
capabilities. These differents economic development levels happened between thes two
countries are not that different but it give wide the second inequality in extreme income
disparities that undermines social stability and solidarity when the country was
separate.

Just like I said in my introduction that some theories are helpful and useful but
not absolutely and entirely applicable. South Korea was somehow similar to what
happened in Bangladesh and Pakistan but in this case study let’s see what happened to
South Korea and Argentina . Starting from stages of growth in South Korea seen some
linear stage of growth but in a limited way from preconditions to take off to age of high
mass consumption in where investment and savings occur . While in Argentina stay too
long in a period of pre conditions to take off without increasing domestic savings it
result negative growth rate in 1965-1990. Going back to South Korea in structural
pattern was seen and confirms some patterns of development structural change
models, over the past generation Korea has been characterized by rapidly increasing in
agricultural productivity in where shift from labor to agriculture to industry same as to
Argentina. Next the Dependence revolution this where south Korea face serious
challenge , a country was was colonized by Japanese and independent in international
relations and now dependent on U.S and maintaining goodwill because of threat by
north Korea and receive a large national budget from U.S , while the Argentina’s
conditioned development fell victim by developed country suffered in what we call false
paradigm theory by British and Americans . Lastly the Neo classical counterrevolution
where Korea booms its economy improving the supply side of market making extensive
development while Argentina suffered from market failure from what happened
encounter inefficient enterprises and government policies that worsen the market
failure

From what happen to Argentina and Korea gives evident that sometimes the
dependency’s is depends on the country because each country has different
characteristics . Just like what the article said the development progress is not
irreversible and that sustained growth can come to an end . Once you feel reaching
development the country must be careful in international relations cause sometimes
international dependence revolution Is taking advantage the Less Developed country or
what we call the infant industry some use their power to abused and control a one
country in were they colonized before .

Every country want to achieve economic development right now our entire
global system is being addictive to economic growth . But achieving Economic
Development sometimes we’re our environments abusing natural resource we tend to
forget because of profit , Economic development it has a lot of factors affecting to finally
become developed countries reduction of poverty , problems in unemployment rate ,
pollution , high inequality, government interventions is just some major problems facing
a country best example Philippines we all knew that we had a lot thing to improve and
overcome to be finally become developed country

Politicians rise and fall on their ability to increase the GDP year by year their
mindset was economic growth will makes our life better but we can’t just easily achieve
economic growth in this infinite planet cause we’re overshooting our environment
without protecting our environment like china did . China was known as the highly most
polluted cities in the world because china was determined to overcome the poverty that
made them boost their economy with the help of foreign aid and ignored sustainable
developement , as result to health problems , and loss habitat undermines that prospect
for sustainable development. This crisis was presumed entirely overconsumption in rich
country not only in china also in developed countries were trees cut down from forest ,
illegal mining GDP goes up and when natural disaster strikes that ignores environmental
and social costs we need economic model that promote human flourishing in harmony
with the environment on which we depend like what japan did the Rio Kyoto protocol
reducing the amount of chemicals pump in atmosphere made by rich countries is the
best example in sustaining development despite of massive improving of economic
activities

From what I learn in my own perspective there are many ways to improve our
country we are at the stage of fixing and breaking it , continuing innovations sometimes
we tend to forget our environment , inhabitants and natural resources that were abused
by us we can’t just blame our governments by our action we are responsible too as a
human . As the lesson goes by I learn a lot the other side of world how it works the
Globalization of each country their motive, mutual benefits for the sake of the country if
we were just not blinded with flowery words and money .
