Model Single vs Redundant Blowers
*Module *Height *Width
Type
Notes–
· For the above models (and the ones on the following pages) 1 blower and 1 media bed pass is assumed for
simplicity
· 1 blower is denoted as -BLR, while redundant blowers are denoted as -RBLB at the end of the model number
· As indicated in the 3 separate model tables, module Type “X” can be 12, 18, or M to indicate PP12, PP18 , or
Matrix filter Modules respectively
· See end of section for drawings with dimensions referenced. WW here is W1

· Blower-multiple blower selections depending on other options chosen. Discuss vendor and factory options with
PureAir Representative
à Building material typically consistent with vessel
à BLOWTHRU vs DRAWTHRU
· DRAWTHRU is standard and allows the blower to work in clean air, thus making it last longer and be lower mainte-
nance
· BLOWTHRU is also an option for customers who want less noise from the blower
à Redundant blowers available
· Adsorbent Media
à SAH”M” models use PureAir Matrix Filter. See page 91 of catalogue for more information
à SAH “12” and SAH “18” Models use reusable or disposable modules filled with PureAir media. These modules are called “PP12’s”
or “PP18’s”. See page 91 for more information on these modules.
à Types of Adsorbent Media to fill modules– see adsorbent media section which starts on page 77.

The Problem:
ATK Missile Systems Company in Ohio, USA designs
and manufactures weapon systems and technologies
for the defense industry. It’s especially well known for
the development of the Patriot Missile. Manufacturing
of aerospace and defense products often creates cor-
rosive byproducts that can be harmful to people as well
as valuable electronics. In this unique situation, the
byproducts were harmful to the health of those in con-
tinuous contact with the airstreams. ATK looked for a
leader in gas phase filtration to make sure plant per-
sonnel were protected from any harmful byproducts in The Solution:
the air.
Looking for various industry solutions, ATK turned to
PureAir to recommend a system to purify the corrosive and
harmful air at the plant. PureAir Sales and Project Engi-
neers reviewed the air quality, layout of the facility, and
other factors to recommend the Side Access Housing Unit
with the following model details:
· SAH18-807-RBLWR
· Constructed of stainless steel with double wall insula-
tion
· MERV 8 prefilter and MERV 13 final filter
· Stainless steel dual blowers to treat 27000 CFM of
airflow
· PureAir ACX and CPS Blend adsorbent media
ATK has had the system installed since 2011 and has been
able to prevent mission critical electronics from corroding,
thus preventing costly miniatous and downtime.
The Problem:
Taif Hospital in Saudi Arabia began receiving complaints
regarding odors around the facility. Leadership looked into
the source of the odor and found that as the hospital oper-
ating capacity has grown, the additional volume of food
processed in the commercial kitchens has caused odors to
be emitted through the campus. With patient and staff
satisfaction at the forefront of decision making, the hospi-
tal chose to look for a reliable solution to remove the odor
from the air, not just mask odors, as it leaves the kitchens.
The Solution:
Working with local representatives, Taif hospital came to
PureAir to see if their gas phase technology could assist
with this situation. Decided on the following solution:
· Three SAH18-606-BLWR ECOClean Kitchen Ecology
units to treat 8000 CFM each of malodourous air
· MERV 8 prefilter, 21” 90% efficient bag intermediary
filter, and MERV 13 final filter
· One internal stainless steel blower with sound insula-
tion
· Discharge fire damper
The hospital, patients, and surrounding neighborhood have
been happy with the installation and no longer experience
the unpleasant commercial kitchen odor.
