CONTACTS OF OTHER STAKEHOLDERSTEMA PORT is the bigger of two sea ports of Ghana. It spans a
land area of 3.9 million square metres and is flanked by an
industrial city. The port receives an average of over 1650 vessel
calls per year and these comprise and assortment of container
vessels, general cargo vessels, tankers, Ro-Ro and cruise vessels
amongst many others.
The Ports environs serve as a logistics point for activities of inland
clearance depots (ICDs), Warehouses, Transport and Haulage
Companies, Freight Forwarders and Related Service Centres.
shipping routes and ports of call to and from tema port span all
continents on our world either through direct or transhipment
services; various shipping lines offer possibilities for the shipment
of different types of cargo. 70% of national trade and traffic is
done through Tema port with additional volumes of trade and
traffic to and from the landlocked countries of Burkina Faso Mali
and Niger.
