Duties and Responsibilities: SENIOR EDUCATION PROGRAM SPECIALIST

1. Prepare and submit report of findings on implementation of quality assurance processes on:
School Planning, SBM and Implementation of Programs and Projects as basis for continuous
improvement.
2. Define the approach and methods to validate SDO report on Schools Achievements and Learning
Outcomes and submit report on findings.
3. Monitor performance of the SDO along: TA to schools and learning centers and Equitable
distribution of educational resources to schools and LCS and submit reports to be able to
identify areas for improvement.
4. Prepare report/documents on best practices with regard school mgt. and governance for
sharing and benchmarking purposes and inputs for recognition.
5. Validate/authenticate assessment strategies and tools for utilization by schools, in classrooms
and learning centers and submit report to SDO mgt. on its utilization and result of utilization.
6. Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the conduct of national, regional and division assessment
tests to identify issues and concerns arising and help improve the process.
7. Validate documents of schools requesting permit to operate.
8. Complete portfolio of documents of schools requesting to operate for submission to the
regional office.
9. Conduct action research on factors contributing to successful implementation of programs and
projects in schools to provide information for continuous improvement.
10. Provide TA to schools and learning centers by responding to the identified needs on the
following areas: Utilization of Assessment Results, Curriculum Implementation and Localization,
SBM Installation in all schools, Assessment of SBM Level of Practice, SBM M&E implementation
in schools, Implementation of National and Regional programs and projects, other governance
and operations matters and Utilization of assessment and evaluation of results of all programs
and projects.
