Jatco CVT JF010E Rebuild Part 1
Rebuild
• Specialty tools

The main tool that you need that you may not already
have is the Posi Lock TJ1 puller. This is a large puller that
will attach to the sides of the pulley to disassemble the cvtpushbelt.com Tool Kit
transmission and pulleys. This puller will work on most
CVT transmissions. Most transmission parts stores now
carry this puller. You can also find them online.

There are also other options of pullers from Transgo and

Adapt A Case. CVTpushbelt.com offers a complete tool
kit for this transmission.

Some large sockets you will need are 32mm, 46mm,

50mm and 55mm.

20-46mm long pan

Drain Plug bolts

Remove the drain plug with a 10mm Allen wrench.

Remove the 20 10 mm headed pan bolts that are
46mm long. This is the aluminum pan style, there
are also some models the have a steel pan and will
have shorter pan bolts. Clean the magnets and
pan.

The aluminum pan has a metal type gasket.

Unplug the pressure

switch connector by
squeezing connector and
pull straight out.

Unplug main wire

connector by pressing on
the release to with a pick
and pull straight out. Or
you can remove the clip
and take the whole
connector out with the
harness.

Before we can remove the valve

body we need to take off the
14mm nut linkage. Remove the 14mm lock nut
while holding the 19mm nut with a
wrench. Remove the 19mm nut and
pull the linkage arm off. Under the
linkage arm is a sleeve that slides
down into the valve body. Use a
magnet to remove the sleeve.

air testing. You can air test the
forward and reverse clutch. You
can also check primary and
secondary pulleys, watch out

out.

Note: The pulleys may not move

but should be close to being air
tight.

Belt Handling
Special thanks to Coen van Beek
Never take out the two pulleys together with the belt out of the transmission.
The chance of damage on the belt is about 95% (See next slide).
Follow the instructions described in the User Guide Toolkit for RE0F09A/10A.
Contact area is perfect!

We see this way of disassembly very often in

workshops.
This damage will result in a
warranty case and will cost you a new belt + labor.
The belt will brake within 10-5000 miles.
Handle the belt with care. Store it
