I, Devansh Ashwin Chheda, would like to introduce myself as a
hardworking person who starves for opportunity and lives for
reaching excellence.
Designing has always been an interest for me since my school
years. I remember doodling characters during lectures and
making models for school festivals. I was acknowledged by my
lectures as a naughty yet creative kid. Even during my free
time, when my friends would play games or sports, I would
intead sit at home and make paintings through imagination.
My mom would than often get angry due to mess I used to
make while painting, but she stored very nicely each and
every artwork I used make when I was a kid.
Soon after completing my graduation in Management, I was
planning on working in the field of Marketing and branding. I
started learning photoshop and illustrator in my free time,
and worked as freelance designer with Omcoders. After
working as an marketing intern and not feeling much satisfied,
I realized I was more interested in graphic designing and
branding rather than marketing.
I joined Maya academy with the goal of polishing my skills, and
later started learning 3D modelling as I wanted to blend my
graphic designing skills with product designing so that one
day I could operate my own studio. I plan on completing my
post graduation in Product designing, and later work with a
designing studio for experience.

They say elegance lies within simplicity, and with your imagination, you can surely create a masterpiece even by using fewer and
simpler techniques. The landscape silhoutte portrays that message with grace, as it is a combination of only brush and lasso tool ,
blended with great colour combination. This landscape can used for multiple purposes such as wallpaper background, print media
or for tourism advertisement.

There are tons of photo effects which can be casted on your

original image. This includes turning a day photograph into
a night one with rainy climate. Also a room with day light can
be turned into one with artificial lighting. Blur and rendering
tools prove to be editors best options for such effects.

correction correct imperfections or errors in an image, for
example these three images complete three different
aspects of photo correction, the image on the left is a
coloured version of a black and white image. While the
image below it is a vibrance effect that pops out the
photograph and cures it from being too dull. Lastly,
the image in bottom right corner is a sharpen effect
effect, for enlargeing a small pixelated image to a
large sharpened image.

Photoshop can also be used for
different effects like dispersion
effect, bokeh effect and depth
mask blur effect. This can be
done through use of liquify, blur
filters, and alpha channels
respectively. You can also remove
an object from the photograph
and replace it correctly with it’s
background through stamp tool.

Finally, as part of the branding project given to me during my

certification in Graphic Design and Digital media, I created the
logo design, visiting card design and a product prototype of an
imaginary company. I have given a theme to these designs ac-
cordingly to the type of company and the stream in which they
are dealing.

I have recently started using 3d
modelling software Rhino 3D, I
am Mac user and sometimes I
find options limited. I find
myself interested in product de-
signing, and this is very reason
why I am looking forward com-
plete my masters in the same.
3D can be very much intimidat-
ing for beginners, and only few
softwares are very much user
friendly. Using 3D software gets
better and easier with practice
and use. Most advanced 3D
softwares have endless possi-
bilities, so imporoves with cre-
ativity of you.

RENDERING 3D CAD

After completing the 3D model, you can use various softwares for rendering, In the
image below I have used KeyShot 6 for rendering of a mobile phone. Rendering
give photo realistic attributes to your model, these can be used as prototypes, or
can also be used for 3D printings. You can even use the rendered image for
composition in a background image. Rendering softwares can either be plugins in
your existing 3D CAD software or can be used separatly. You can live link you

rendering software with supporting software which enables update in geometry of
3D model in case of any changes made. Rendering is perfect to take care of
lighting, materials, shading etc of the 3D CAD model you made.

Composition is basically placing your 3D model in an image in such a way that it perfectly blends with the
image and seems to be a part of it. Advanced compositions make it also possible for the 3D model to
come to life in video, and offer a working digital prototype to the viewer. This saves time and energy as
you can see the product and note down any shortcomings or upgradation to make. I have used
photoshop for compositing the 3D model of a car with background image
