Schedule
Third Exam Title Defense  You will be one of the members
Title Proposal and
of a group.
Parts of the
Research Study.  The class will be divided into
groups composing of maximum
of three members.
 You will do research to identify,
formulate, and solve engineering
research problem.
 Your group will undergo defense
in a Title Proposal
 You will be given a lecture in
writing the Title Proposal prior to
the defense.
 You are going to write a title
proposal in a standard format.
 The title proposal will be
screened first by your instructor.
 If the instructor approves then
you will undergo Title Defense
with three panels.
 The panels will examine your
work basing on the Rubrics
 The Panels will ask questions to
test your knowledge, the
rationale of your problem, and to
check if your objectives/problems
are doable.
 Upon approval of your title
proposal you will then prepare
for the Outline Proposal Defense
Final Exam Writing Outline Proposal  You are going to write a Review
Research Manuscript of Related Literature for the
Proposal problem/objective chosen by
your group which was approved
by the panel during the title
defense.
 The review of related literature
will be the basis for your methods
to solve the problem.
 Your instructor will check your
RRL collection if all articles are
aligned with the problems, and
can address the problems.
 You will be graded using Rubrics

Final Exam Writing Outline Proposal Defense  This task involves presentation of
Research your Outline Proposal Manuscript
Proposal and defending it.
 The three panels will examine
your write up.
 The three will criticize your
writing in order to improve it.
 You will be asked by the panels
regarding technicalities related to
your methods, and check if the
proposal is doable.
 Your main task is to defend your
proposal, assure the panel that
there is a clear method in doing
the proposal and emphasize that
you have enough resources and
technical knowledge in attaining
the objectives/problems.
 The activity will be graded using
Rubrics
 The panel will assign research
adviser, statistician, and
grammarian to those group who
successfully defended their
proposal.
