Clarification on the Implementation of PhilHealth Circular No. 43,

s-2012 (Reimbursement of Hospitals Claims Through Auto-Credit
Payment Scheme) and PhilHealth Circular No. 049, s- 2012
(Amendment to PhilHealth Circular No. 28, s-2012)

To ensure uniformity in the implementation of PhilHealth Circular No. 43, s-

2012 (Reimbursement of Hospitals Claims Through Auto-Credit Payment
Scheme), all Accredited Institutional Health Care Providers are hereby advised
that splitting of Case Rate Payment shall now be applied in accordance with the
provision of the said circular.

Relative to this, all IHCPs that previously submitted their request to split their
case rate payment under PhilHealth Circular No. 28, s-2012 (Splitting of
Payment for Facility and Professional Fee and Issuance of Official Receipts for
PhilHealth Claims) which was further clarified through the implementation of
PhilHealth Circular No. 049, s-2012 (Amendment to PhilHealth Circular No. 28,
s-2012) are enjoined to re-apply for Auto Credit Payment Scheme (ACPS) for the
appropriate reimbursement of their benefit claims. Please be reminded that the
application of the said payment scheme is still optional. Government Hospitals
presently receiving split payments via checks shall still receive their benefits
claims reimbursement through the said manner until January 2013. In line with
this, said institutions are advised to apply for ACPS before the aforementioned
date in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the Corporation’s
initiative towards paperless transactions.

All concerned may coordinate with the nearest PhilHealth Regional Office for
any clarification on the said matter.
