Our motivation behind organising a TEDx event is to bring to fresh, forward-looking, impactful ideas

on a variety of topics to our audience through a remarkable line-up of speakers. To encompass all of
this, we wish to theme TEDx IIM Lucknow 2019 by the title: Re-imagine Reality. The intent of the
theme is to question common beliefs, what we think we know about the world and the future ahead
of us. It is your enriching experiences and innovative ideas would help us see the same in a different
lens.

We put a great deal of thought into freezing a theme for the event that is something that people
would find interesting to talk about and the audience would be curious about. We have kept the
theme broad enough to incorporate your preferred choice of topic and hope that the theme helps
you make the most of your time speaking. The theme is intended to be an “over-arching” statement
that sets a direction and not limit on what our speakers can talk about. We would love to discuss any
further pointers you may have on the theme.

Here is a snippet from the TED website to add to the context:

What is the difference between a theme, a topic, and an idea?

A theme is the title or tagline of your event.

A topic is a subject area that you’re interested in covering at your event.
An idea is the original concept or notion that your speakers will bring to
the stage at your event.
