 Chapter I: Introduction
The Ferrero Group has its manufacturing plant at Baramati and 22 other warehouses in various
parts of India. The manufacturing plant is spread in 55 acres of land. There are & industrial
distribution centers and 22 commercial centers.
Products at Baramati Plant:
 (Kinder Joy / Kinder Schokobons / Tic Tac ) : Manufactured at Baramati.
 (Ferrero Rocher / Nutella) : Imported from Italy and packaged at Baramati
The Logistics of Ferrero India Pvt. Ltd. is divided into various stages, which consists of
manufacturing, warehousing and transporting.

Ferrero India is part of the Ferrero Group which has a turnover of Euro 8 billion and is today the
fourth largest manufacturer of chocolate and confectionary products in the world.
Ferrero started its commercial operations in India in 2004.In a short span of 9 years it has
established itself as a strong player in the premium category of chocolate and confectionary
products in India

The company has its corporate office in Pune and 4 regional offices at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata
and Mumbai.
History :
The great leader of the Group’s development is Michele Ferrero. Partnership with his wife Maria
Franca, he was the first Italian manufacturer after World War II to open production sites and offices
abroad in the confectionary sector, turning the Company into a truly international Group.
In early 40’s, Piera and Pietro, Michele’s parents, transformed a pastry shop into a factory.
Today, Giovanni Ferrero, son of Michele and Maria Franca continues to run the Company
successfully.

Ferrero India Pvt. Ltd. has its manufacturing plant at Baramati where products like Kinder Joy,
Kinder Schoko-bons, Tic-Tac are manufactured .The prime products like Ferrero Rocher and
Nutella are imported from Italy and packaging process is carried out at factory. The company
has its cold storage warehouses in almost 21 different locations in India.
