1 Sound alarm.

2 Call Master.

3 Decide on risk, and necessity to abandon ship.

4 Stop Main Engine.

5 Stop Overboard discharges in way of survival craft.

6 Switch on the deck and overside lights at night.

7 Fix time and position.

8 Broadcast DISTRESS ALERT and message on the authority of the Master.

9 Inform company.

10 Shut all watertight doors.

11 Close all fuel valves in Engine Room.

12 Launch boats according to training manual.

13 Leave Emergency generator and machinery running.

14 Instruct crew members to put on life jackets, and wear adequate and warm clothing

15 Instruct crew members to put on immersion suits, if carried, if water temperature is

below 16 degree.

16 Order crew members to liferaft station.

17 Prepare to launch liferafts.

18 Ensure that liferaft seaboat sea painters are attached to the ship.

19 Embark all crew in the liferafts and launch

20 Ensure liferafts remain in safe proximity to the ship and in contact with
