In a tropical country like the Philippines, one can hardly find luscious sweet strawberries for

picking and eating. A lot of us like to eat strawberries but we’re often limited to the imported
ones at the grocery that sells at a premium price, ending up too expensive for us to buy and eat
on any given day.

I do LOVE strawberries, but i only find myself having more than enough of these favorite fruits
when i am in Baguio (which is not often). This is the reason why i can never have enough
strawberries!

But when you have fond memories of strawberry picking in Benguet… freezing them and dipping
them in Milkmaid and Chocolate… in your childhood, and having a bonfire while at that… you
should never have enough strawberries to make you not want them again. You should just leave
the longing at that until you are in the midst of the abundance of strawberries once again.

So listen to me.

Every once in a while, going on a trip to the Philippines’ Strawberry Central Hub would be all
too worth it. And this one’s located less than an hour away from Baguio City, in La Trinidad
Benguet’s Strawberry Farm.

La Trinidad, Benguet: Strawberry Capital of the

Philippines.
Here, you can grab a basket while going around the huge acres of land filled with strawberry
farms and other fresh vegetables that you can harvest and bring home.
And just when you think that would be all of it, there are also highly conspicuous flower gardens
surrounding the perimeters of the farms. I found myself amidst glorious looking flora that didn’t
manage to escape my lens and of course…my smile.

As a self-confessed flower aficionado, that’s already a given.

Have a lovely day!
