Brief Description
For EcoShift transmissions without Telma retarder up to the serial number 005191, the
tightening torque of the output flange fastening screws might be too low. ZF Service
Information SI1515.

To be carried out
VBC requires that all vehicles concerned shall be rectified prior to the delivery to the
customer or, at the next service occasion but within the stipulated time period.

Action

To avoid damage, it is urgently recommended to retighten the output flange fastening

screws in 2 steps to 90 Nm during maintenance or inspection works at the vehicle:
- Step 1: tighten both screws successively to 60 Nm.
- Step 2: retighten both screws successively to 90 Nm.
After having retightened the screws, the propeller shaft is to be marked by a white cross
using a suitable colored pencil.
