Ronnie Nismal is a trade unionist and a practicing labor legal officer

of FFW since 1985. He is the incumbent Assistant Vice President for legal
affairs of the Federation of Free Workers (FFW). Despite the support of FFW
leadership to VP Binay, he campaigned to local affiliates to vote for Mayor
Duterte instead and got overwhelming support.

He is presently a member of the Sugar Tripartite Council (STC)

representing the labor sector, a consultative/advisory body to the Secretary
of Labor which administers the Sugar Amelioration Program of the government
for the sugar industry workers of the country.

Ronnie Nismal was appointed as Chief of Staff of Commissioner Sonny G.

Matula from September 2006 until September 8, 2010 as workers’
representative at the SSS. He also served as Executive Assistant-IV and
Chief of Staff of the late venerable labor leader Juan C. Tan, when the
latter was the chairman and later on as Commissioner of the Social Security
Commission, during the FVR and Gloria Macapagal administration.

He had attended several seminars and conferences abroad sponsored by

the International Labor Organization (ILO) representing the labor sector in
Turin, Italy; in Geneva, Switzerland; in Vienna, Austria; in Bangkok,
Thailand; and in Bangalore, India.

Last May 16, 2016, Ronnie reached sixty one years old but his passion
to serve the workers is still burning with such sincerity, dedication and
commitment. A holder of Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science (1976)
and Bachelor of Laws (1980) from Central Philippine University (CPU), Jaro
Iloilo City with more than thirty years work-experience, has made him well-
prepared to represent the workers’ interest in any tripartite position in
the government.

He wants to serve in whatever capacity Mayor Duterte, his chosen

President, to make this country great again.
