Biography Bill Gates is a business magnate, investor, philanthropist, writer from the United

States, as well as a former CEO who currently serves as the chairman of Microsoft, the software
company he founded with Paul Allen. He ranks remain among the richest people in the world and
is ranked first from 1995 to 2009, excluding 2008 when he dropped to third.

Early life

Gates was born in Seattle, Washington, from partner William H. Gates, Sr. and Mary Maxwell
Gates. He has the blood of England, Germany, Scotland, and Ireland. His family, including middle
to high society; his father was a prominent lawyer, his mother served as a member of the board of
directors of First Interstate BancSystem and the United Way, and her father, JW Maxwell, was a
national bank president. Gates has an older sister and a younger brother named Kristianne named
Libby. He is a descendant of the fourth in his family, but was known as William Gates III or "Trey"
because his father bears the suffix "II".

Bill was intelligent, but he was too full of vigor and tend to often have trouble in school. When he
was eleven years old, his parents decided to make a change in him and send him to Lakeside
School, a prestigious elementary school specifically for boys. In Lakeside that in 1968 Bill Gates
first introduced to the world of computers, in the form of teletype machines were connected by
telephone to a computer time sharing.

Gates interested in computers since when she was young. His introduction to computers occurred
when he was 13 years old. At that time, the Mothers Club at school, Lakeside School, purchased
a Teletype Model 33 ASR terminal and several computers General Electric (GE) for the
students. Seeing these computers, Gates is interested and began to study. He is interested in the
ability of the machine to execute software code perfectly and wrote his first computer program
here using the BASIC programming language.

He quickly mastered BASIC, a computer programming language, and together with the hackers
who taught himself at Lakeside, he spent ber-hours writing a program, playing games, and
generally learn a lot about computers. "He was an eccentric," as one of the teachers giving the
nickname Gates.

Gates graduated from Lakeside School in 1973. After that he took the SAT tests and get a score
very high, namely 1590 from 1600. By value, he was admitted to Harvard College where he met
with Steve Ballmer who would replace Gates as CEO of Microsoft , Bill Gates taking classes at
Harvard University in Cambridge began in 1975. There he met with Paul Allen during school
together. Together with Paul Allen, Bill Gates continues to develop his talents in the field of
computer programming.

Gates had no plans to learn still as a student at Harvard and spent a lot of time using the school's
computers. Gates still communicate with Paul Allen, and she joined him at Honeywell in the
summer of 1974. In the following year, the MITS Altair 8800 based on the Intel 8080 CPU
launched, and Gates and Allen saw the launch as an opportunity to set up his own computer
software company. He had talked this decision over with his parents were very supportive once
