INSTALLATION OF IVMS-4200 on Linux OS

Steps need to be followed:

 1. Login to Ubuntu machine as a root (root is equivalent to admin of windows)

 2. Download iVMS-4200_Linux.tar.gz from ftp link

 3. iVMS-4200_Linux.tar.gz will get downloaded to Downloads (path) of Ubuntu 12.04

 4. Open the terminal in Ubuntu machine with the help of ctrl+alt+t

 5. In Ubuntu by default you will be in path of root after login

 6. Now you need to change your path to the Downloads as your iVMS-4200_Linux.tar.gz is downloaded in that

path

 7.You can change your path to the Downloads by the command cd Downloads

 8. Now you should check the file contents of Downloads directory. You can carry out it by ls -l command.

 9. It will show you iVMS-4200_Linux.tar.gz.This file is in compressed and tar format. It’s like zip or WinRAR of

windows.

 10. We need to extract that file. For this command is tar -zxvf iVMS-4200_Linux.tar.gz

 11.Now run the command ls -l to view the content of files

 12. It will show you iVMS-4200 and other files. You need to run that iVMS-4200 file.

 13.To run iVMS-4200 file command is ./iVMS-4200

 14. Now you will get login page of ivms-4200 s/w.
