 Memory games
 Reading corner
 Listening corner: songs, chants, stories
 Write new items in the class dictionary
 Kim’s game: place some objects or flashcards on a table. Give children 1 minute to look at them and
then, cover them with a cloth. Ask children to tell you as many objects as they can remember.
 Pelmanism: it’s a memory game played with two sets of identical cards or pictures and words. Children
play in pairs. They shuffle the cards (of any topic you are working with), put them face down on a table
and take it in turns to pick up two cards, turn them over and see if they match. If they do, they keep
the pair; if not, they put the cards back on their same position. The player with the higher number of
pairs wins.
 ICT corner: programs to reinforce and improve the things learnt
 1. INTRODUCTION/ JUSTIFICATION
All the ten lesson plans have a common linking point: INCLUSION. The whole school is involved in a
school project linked to inclusion and everybody is in charge of developing different activities during this
academic year. In each Lesson Plan Inclusion will be worked through a book. The incorporation of the book
can be an adequate aspect to motivate the student of ages between 8 and 10 years in the accomplishment of
tasks that facilitate the acquisition of the language. By awakening the student’s motivation towards the book
in English, at the same time I am promoting a positive attitude towards the foreign language and towards the
learning of that language. In addition, books encourage imagination, creativity, concentration and the access
to the socio-cultural knowledge of the language. I will have a wide variety of activities to exploit books.
I have chosen this lesson plan because it is the first Lesson Plan that children will find when they start
the academic year. therefore, I believe that children will be able to work on basic aspects related to the school
environment such us: school objects, rooms, classroom rules, schedule among others. They will like to be able
to learn and use vocabulary about it.

I have chosen ‘’we share everything’’ story to introduce this topic because it is related to values that
should be fostered in class, such as sharing, helping and respecting the class rules in order to achieve a
positive atmosphere.

In this lesson plan children will enjoy learning about the school as it is the place in where they spend
a lot of time every day.
