    The mayor of San Jose, Philippines wrote a letter to the OIC District Engineer of Negros Oriental 2nd District Engineering Office requesting an "attestation" document required by the Department of Budget and Management for the LGU's infrastructure project proposals for road concreting and river control. The proposals were returned due to lacking requirements including this "DPWH Attestation" document which the District Office has indicated is customary to provide. The mayor looks forward to receiving the attestation to meet the DBM's requirements.

    Dear Engr. Calabia:

    Greetings!

    The Local Government Unit of San Jose is requesting for financial assistance to the
    Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for our various infrastructure projects
    particularly on road concreting and river control. However, our proposal were returned
    due to some lacking requirements, one of which listed is the “DPWH Attestation”. When
    we asked the representative of the DBM about the DPWH Attestation, we were only told
    that the District Office is already accustomed to such requirement. Whatever it is, may
    we be provided with such “attestation” as required by the DBM.

    Looking forward for your immediate action and more power.
