ABSTRACT:
With the increasing use of renewable source of energy, the fossil fuels
are on edge of its extinction. Because of which the concern about the
non-renewable energy sources, constant increase in fossil fuel prices,
global warming, damage to environment and ecosystem, and the
renewable energy is becoming more popular and is gaining more
attention as an alternative to non-renewable energy sources. Among
the renewable energy sources, the energy through photovoltaic effect
is being considered as the most essential and sustainable energy
resource as compared to other types of energy sources such as wind,
tidal etc.
But Traditional solar roof top system is having major drawback that it
can provide optimum output only during hours of strong sunlight for
just 12 hrs a day. This proposed system with TEG’s which will work
in harmony with the PV cells to provide continuous output throughout
the day. By harnessing the heat energy form the sunlight the TEG’s in
our generator system will create temperature difference which would
be converted into potential difference
1. To design cost effective maintenance free Solar Roof Top
System replacing the higher maintenance cost of electric
batteries with hot water storage.
2. To study the conventional solar roof top system and identify the
limitation in terms of higher initial and maintenance cost.
3. To propose novel concept of thermo-electric generation in solar
PV system.
4. To do the performance analysis of TEG and its maximum power
point tracking(MPPT).
5. To prepare a prototype and carry out simulation to prove
6. the effectiveness of the proposed model.
